We believe in doing good by our customers, our children, and our land.
A Team: A Wife with a physio degree (Working with young adults with neurological conditions - I have an interest in the way we learn, and a foundational knowledge of our movement and development), & a husband with a can do attitude.
The birth of our daughter made us question the status quo, what we were introducing into her world, and if that was acceptable.
As our small human has grown, so too has the need for a local New Zealand company that supports families to have sustainable learning resources in their homes. A company that values our land, our children's future, and is not afraid to challenge the status quo. Inspired Childhood was created to fill this gap in the children's product market, with our products inspired from our own gentle parenting background taking collaborative inspiration from education philosophies of Montessori, RIE, and Waldorf (Steiner).
We wanted the best for our family, and in doing that designed and created resources for our daughter, which we feel other families would benefit from.
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
☆ We only use NZ based companies in our supply chain.
☆ We use the highest quality sustainably grown solid profile New Zealand radiata, and have carefully looked for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Certification (This means they care about our childrens future and the environment too!).
☆ We offer NZ made paint, and sealer add ons to our products. These are made from high quality, renewable resources, are breathable and free of solvents and harmful chemicals.
☆ Our Packaging is carefully selected to minimise waste and ensure most of it (except the tape) is able to be recycled or composted - its also great for small human/s to create a masterpiece on!
☆ We have designed and built our products with years of use in mind (we hope they will become hand me downs, or donated to charity groups like your local toy library - so more children can enjoy them - rather than the landfill) so if problems arise, send us through an email and we'll do our best to help!
